Northern Indiana Waterfalls

I was as surprised as you likely are to find out that Indiana has note-worthy waterfalls! After seeing a video on social media featuring Northern Indiana and hidden waterfall locations, I set out this past weekend to explore as many as I could. Of course, I brought along our Phantom 4 Drone to capture an awesome aerial perspective along with ground footage.

We managed to explore 3 different parks in Northern Indiana. The first in the lineup was France Park Falls. This park is great for a quick getaway and the best part of this waterfall was that you can practically park right next to it. Don't get me wrong, I love the mystery of hiking for hours to make it to the waterfall finale. Sometimes, it's nice to just get there.

After doing justice to this waterfall, we wandered over to Hathaway Preserve at Ross Run. This lightly marked park in Wabash was a fun little gem to explore. There is about a 1 mile hike along a stream that leads you to this nice little waterfall.

Last on the agenda was Salamonie River State Forest. This trail was called Three River Falls, titled such because there are actually 3 separate waterfalls to explore and all are very close together. There was a decent hike down into the valley itself, but from there you can enjoy the Three River Falls area in all its glory.

There are definitely more falls to explore but that is all we managed to get to in one day before loosing daylight. I am happy to share this aerial video below of all the waterfalls, as well as a set of still images taken on the ground and from our drone. Enjoy!
