2010
It is a new year
It is a new year, and as everyone has hopes, goals, and dreams, so do I. Although I have not written any new blog postings in a while, I hope to change that this year with, at the very least, a new blog every week. Already this year I have worked on a few series of new photographs. One being a series of new self portraits using one of my favorite lenses, a fish eye lens. I highly recommend getting one of these lenses as soon as you can. They can be found for as little as $30 on ebay and are useful both because they have macro and because of the unique warped and wide angle of the lens. I also have worked on a series involving carving apples. A few images from this series will be posted on my website soon.
With many new photography classes to keep me occupied and motivated this semester, I expect that this might be my most productive semester of all in terms of producing photographs. I find that without art classes, my level of motivation lowers. Both the competition as well as, perhaps, the requirement for me to capture images for grades are great motivators and have always been the best ways to keep the gears in my head turning. Hopefully you look forward to my new works as much as I do in creating them.
